Home for a Home is driven by the belief that the security of a safe, solid home, provides hope and can be the catalyst for dramatic change in people's lives. As a member, I join a group of socially conscious real estate professionals who donate a portion of their commissions to sustainably fund the construction of homes for people in need. Currently, we are providing homes and building community in Guatemala.

House built in 2019 for The Garcia Family!!!

The Family used to live in a sheet metal house with a dirt floor. They had been living in those bad conditions for a long time and were worried about the health of the family. Rain would enter the house, and because of the damp conditions bacteria would grow rampantly on the dirt floor which would make her daughters sick. Raquel had been sick from rashes and head allergies from the bad conditions.

How It Works

When you work with me to represent you in the purchase or sale of a property, I will donate a portion of my commission to fund the construction of a home for a family in need.

The home is simple, yet solid. It includes a main living room, a bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet, a water filter system and high efficient wood burning stove.

The homes are a huge improvement over the recipient family's previous structure. The families also receive follow-up training from home maintenance and sanitation to financial budgeting.
